RSM lower mount and RSM Stage 1 = Useless 1st gear

Well the title says it all, my 3rd day home from work so i decided to install my lower mount, well needless to say people arent joking about increased interior vibration. But i dont care.

Heres how the test drive went, start off easy in first, then slam the gas just after the clutch is all the way out.

2500rpms - no boost yet - good traction
3000rpms - very little boost, good traction
3500rpms - more boost, things are moving a lil bit faster now - traction is starting to be sacrificed
4000rpms - 4psi guessing - tires are starting to really get outa control
4500rpms and up -closing in on 5-6psi - and the whole idea of traction has gone out the window.

Its awesome, spins through first gear, spins the crap out of 2nd gear, spins 3rd a lil bit. I think with a clutch upgrade i will be grabbing 4th gear. The lower mount recovered a TON of power.

Yay, im boosted!

Not to mention i think alot of people are kind of wierded out when they hear a loud whine comin up behind them, then a blow off valve, and then look to see a sunfire in their rear view mirror

Heh i think i'd need r comps to get traction, right now im running 224/45/17 Michellin Pilot Sports. They are close to the end so i am thinking about getting some kuhmo's next time around.

Kumho's are nice and they don't cost much but i don't suggest getting the Kumho 712's... defiantly would need something higher then them... I have the GM supercharger with a few other things on the engine and at 4.5psi 1st gear the tires spin from like 2000rpm's up to when ever... 2nd spins easy and 3rd i can grip.. only way is to go easy through all of 1st gear and then your 60ft times suck and it hurts your over all 1/4 mile times.

No fuel mods on my ECO, RSM reflashes the PCM for you. I believe the stock eco injectors can handle the 6psi im running. Chris had dyno sheets on his RSM kit and he was running around 11 a/f ratio i believe so it should be good.

i'd upgrade the fuel system to be on the safe side, plus you'll probably gain some more power, with a better fuel system, hell get an msd setup and you should definatly get more power. just so you dont risk blowing something up on a hot day or something.

Stock injectors should do just fine. It's still always a good idea to keep an eye on mixture.

MSD....very good idea.

An upper mount will help with teh wheel hop. We do not offer one so far. Sorry. I am working on that. Control arm bushings are a smart choice too.

Will a reflash help if i turbocharged my ecotec instead of getting there supercharge? i heard people running the 00+ reflash on there 2.4's with a turbo wonder if it would help with the ecotecs fuel delivery????

Exactly what he said . . . if you also have a 5 speed tranny some new tranny mounts should really help you out . . .

Upper, Lower, Tranny, C Arm and you should be set... as for the wideband... thats a very good idea as well to make sure you dont lean out or run way too rich . . .

You can definetly feel the power when you have the mounts. like a whole new car.

my g/fs 02 eco spd , i had just the motor and lower mount , the car had a droaning vibration noise inside , and once i put the trans mount bushings in , that noise was gone

and the road feel and shifting improved alot also

the feel you got from the lower , and upper , is what you will feel with the trans mounts also
