With the stock s-tube... is it supposed to be pressed right into the battery? I couldn't get mine any further on and it's pressed right against the battery. It seems to me they're going to be rubbing against one another a fair bit now.

Ive heard something about the Eco cold air intake working, and lining up nicely, although you only need the end piece, not the whole kit.

mine clears the battery by about 1inch... only thing i could think of if your right against the battery is the black fitting piece that attaches to the throttle body isn't all the way on...or the S tube isn't all the way on to that fitting.... here just a picture of mine after the install... you can see the small clearance.

I had one custom made for me by the guys over at Pipes Performance in Toronto, here are a couple of pics, you can see the filter in the second pic. Changing from the warm air weapon-r intake to this one, I also noticed that my EGT's dropped by almost 100 degrees while crusing at 120Km's... Just proves that the blower loves cold air.

The design is 3" aluminum intake piping, so all of the bends are mandrel. The shop that I went to, Pipes Performance, is primarly an exhaust shop, but they can order up most other stuff as well.

humm i might just make my own with some rubber connectors and some tubing so i can control how far down it goes... don't really want it sucking in water...
