Any one have a pic of where they tapped in for the oil supply for their Turbo.

pull your Oil pressure sending unit..... and either get a brass 'T' fitting to run the line in-between the engine and sender, or just pull the sender all together (you just wont have the 'dummy' oil light on the dash anymore)

It really doesnt matter what motor, its primarily a question regarding the location in general, i could care less if it was an eco, quad, 3100, doesnt matter. If you have a turbo kit, and you know where your oil supply lines are tapped, then thats what i would like to know.
FYI...some info to be more precise.... this is what I would be using it on
2.4l LD9 99-04 series.

BS it doesn't matter, on the LD9 you use the oil pressure sending unit like SpeedRacerZ said, if its the Eco you tap a fitting on the block or tap near the oil filter, on the 2200/2.2 you tap the block or the sending unit.
FYI, The LD9 ceased to be in 2002.

My mistake, it was replaced by the ecotec. as of 03. As far as me saying it doesnt matter, I dont care what motor the person has, I just wanted to know in general.
So I need to splice a T connection into the Oil pressure sending unit....great simple answer.... I appreciate it.
So that means I could just splice in another line for an Oil Pressure guage as well...
That leads me to another question. (oh no!)
Has anyone installed an oil cooler in that line, to cool the oil before it enters the turbo, It would be better to have it cooled before it goes back into the pan, but since its behind the motor and gravity fed, you wouldnt have much pressure, am I correct on that assumption?

Since the feed line is so small, and the return line is so big, no, you wouldn't have a lot of pressure in the feed line, probably not enough to put a long oil cooler line on and push the oil through it. The pressure would probably build up, but you'll just be forcing the oil to stay in the turbo longer.

so pretty much defeating the entire purpose of the drain.... what about some sort of material to dicipate heat on the return line...or am I overly concerned with the oil temp?

You could just put a general oil cooler in the car, but i too am interested in the idea of one before the turbo. I was looking at say the one that rksport offers, that threads onto the oil filter spot, and the filter goes over that. Seems like a nice idea.
anyone ever done this?????? im thinking dereased turbo temps because of the cooler oil carrying away the heat wich equates to more horsepoer and colder charge air or does the oil have plenty of time to cool off enough while in the pan????

I was thinking the same thing....I figured you would have to get somethign that replaces your oil filter.
I have put on a huge tranny cooler from a superduty pickup onto my car, but all i had to do there was splice into the hoses....in this case, there are no hoses.
