Because if you are turboing your car.... you should be smart enough to know where the parts go and how they hook up. You wouldn't want your doctor performing open heart surgery on you without a clue as to what he is doing, and just using a "guide" right? Plus if anything goes wrong later, you can usually nail it down knowing how the parts interact with each other.
We like to think of ourselves as a little brighter than the honda boys...
