Be more specific. Where from on the supercharger? The snout? The intake manifold flange? Where from?

Where the supercharger bolts the snout section to the roots part. I think there are 8 bolts there. Its not a lot but the car has been in storage for 6 mth. and there is about a nickle size spot on the plastic under the car.

Thanks Jake.

Anyone know what the torque specs are for those bolts? Or if there is a gasket in between there?

hmm thats odd, this is the first time i have heard of this w/this kit. ide double check the bolts, my guess is that there would either be a gasket, or some type of sealant between those pieces, if there is a gasket there might be a lil tear in it.

What really sucks is that I only have 2000 miles on the thing and the warranty is up.

Which bolts are you talking about? let me know and i will check in either my s/c install book (if i can still find it) or the shop manual.

There are eight bolts that are holding the unit itself together. Not on the intake but on the supercharger itself.

Take it to a dealer. Tell them to rebuild it under warranty.

If that doesn't work, the instruction manual has a place you can call to order a rebuild kit.

Yea i think what Mr. Pute said is your best bet... because it does not give any torque specs for thoughs bolts.

I'm preaty sure that I don't have to say this but I hope that its not leaking because with its own independant oil supply its a bad thing if its leaking. verry bad Get it fix now.

horsepower is how hard you hit the wall, Torque is how far you push the wall with you

I have the coolant line tied off. I'm positive it is there, I wiped it dry and checked back a couple days later and it was a little bit oily. I wasn't even sure if there was fluid in that part. I thought it was all in the snout only. I'm pretty sure there is no gasket there just silicone. I guess next winter I have a project since I'm sure with the little bit I have lost I can just make it threw the summer.

Get it checked out for sure. Also if you do have to put a new gasket in or silicone or whatever make sure you use GM supercharger oil to fill it back up. You can get it at the dealer.

No offense, but you'd be a fool to not fix it immediately.

How do you get the oil out??

I'm under the impression that the oil never has to be changed, but one of the guys at the dealership stressed how important it is to change the oil in the GTP blowers...

If you don't change the blower oil ever.....It will smell like dirty ass!!!

Seriously. We changed the nose drive on an M90. The oil was obviosly bad.

10,000 square feet of shop....the entire place smelled like ass.!

Hehe. You think I'm joking.

For the M90, we used a vacum line shoved into the blower. There is a little port on mine at least. Allen key. Ran compressed air past the end to create a siphen(spelling???) It took a few times, but worked like a charm. Aside from the rancid smell of ass.

I'll be changing my oil every two years.

gm most likely uses a similar oil additive like they use for the posi additive , cause afte its been in a few years it reaks like no tommorow

it leaves you wanting to sniff porta potties to rid your self of the smell

My S/C has not leaked in 10K miles. Last I checked GM did not specify a change interval for the oil in the M90s on the VIN 1 motors.
