i just installed a used cav conn kit and i had a problem getting the boost to come up and blow off the bov . its going up to about 5 psi and stops . there is a 6lb spring in the external waste gate which is a tial . . the vac line goes from the turbo to a tee whitch splits to the bottom of the waste gate and goes to second tee whitch goes to the bov and boost gauge . i did find that one of the waste gate gaskets were blown so i replaced it but it still isnt building enough boost to blow the bov . any advice on what to check ? its on a 2200 auto 3spd .
13's or blowning it. one way or the other!
the vacuum line to the bov has to be connected to the intake manifold instead of the turbo vacuum line. i'd also recommend connecting the boost gauge to the intake manifold instead of the turbo so you can see how much of your 6 psi is getting to the engine.

not exactly sure on the 2200....if there's a vacuum line to the map sensor, you could run a tee fitting off that. if not, look for another vacuum line connected to the manifold somewhere and stick a tee in there.

You could probably tee it off of any other of the vacuum lines that run to the throttle body. I have the wastegate getting its reading from the compressor housing, but the rest of the vacuum lines are ran to line coming off of the throttle body.
