Well I dynoed the 03 on saturday and was pretty pleased. It's running WAY rich 10.X AFR through out most of the run. I'm also having some issuses with the HAHN plenum so I'll be going to some sort of 90º elbow on the TB. It would fly off the TB so we had to dyno with the hood shut. It's a good start with much more work needed. Just wanted to thank Eric R (97cavie24ls) for helping me get to where it's at now and Adam a local DSM guy.

not to bad , im sure once the fuel gets straightened out it will be alot better , plus getting a less restricting exhaust will help too

even bill hahn jr was impressed when i talked to him at nopi this past weekend , considering how much of the stock exhaust is still on your cav

LOL

91 Ewwww. Get some better gas and go run again. 93 could give you 15-20 more whp. And then a run on 100 I am sure will net near 250whp on current setup.

Nice runs.

91 is the highest we have at the pumps here in Cali. I wasn't out to make mad crazy HP. I just need to know where I was at. I'm just trying to accomplish a quick, fun, and safe setup for now.

Correct me if im wrong but the octane of the fuel does add power per se does it, more that it allows you to increase the boost a bit more safely which in turn adds power, thats what ive always thought at least. Too bad tho Chad, back here in good ol MI i can get anything up to 110

you're correct, higher octane allows more boost/timing/compression which allows more power.

it's tougher to go leaner with the s#!t box fmu, he needs real fuel control next.

def some great numbers, needs exhaust and fuel, should make an easy extra 50hp on pump.

Yes, its a means to an end. So ACTUALLY higher octane gas does get you more hp. Its kind of implied when one makes a statement like I did above.

i never implied that you didn't imply. but hey, you're j-body owners -- what am i to expect?

The numbers are ok fo0r 10 psi. I would expect more. I know of a ecotec J that dynoed on 7psi right at 200hp and 217 tq.

As for the higher Octane I do not think it will help because he has a very rich air/fuel already.
Is your FMU adjustable?
Still anice starting point.

Sorry dude, I haven't seen your previous posts, but was that a Stage 1 or stage 2 Hahn kit? By the way, gratz on the numbers.

John is right, it is pretty low man for all the stress on your motor.
I know of another Eco that is putting 200+ or 7 psi
I mean mad props to you for hard work and stuff, but that fuel man, you are dipping in 9's with A/F which is waaaaaaaaaaaaay to rich. Putting that up to about 12:1 will give you about 20 HP for sure.
Let me tell you a difference between running mad rich like you are now and running good A/F, once you get your @!#$ straight you are gonna say:'' Damn, it felt like I was pulling a truck behind me with all that fuel"". lol

But again good #'s
