finlly after a weeks worth work i got the dyno numbers back tonight but even when i keep my car out of boost i still seem to have a damn glowing manifold and i can't figure out why but other then that i am a happy guy.
i pulled 173.9 hp to the wheel at 6 psi of boost. i will have the dyno chart on tomorrow but if any one has any ideas on the manifold please help.thanks
OHV forever
Shaweeet nuther boosted ohv. good to hear man. and as the manifold glow i think it means your running lean but im probally wrong.
i wish i could say i agree with the lean part but i can't my air/fuel is a solid 11.5 all the way through
did they hook up a wideband?
was it the probe or an actual wideband 02 sensor
btw awesome number

it is normal for them to glow under heavy loads
also your exhaust system might be restricted
Are u running stock exhaust?

what kind of condition is your CAT? You may want to use a high flow CAT. This reduces ALOT of the heat!

He stated it was 11.5 all the way across.
Also his manifold he said is glowing when out of boost. That could be exhaust, or running lean when not in boost (that is possible).

its not a lean issue.
This is about a clogged cat or exhaust. It sometimes is because the exhaust is too small.
Nice numbers man, especially for the 2.2

I was going to ask the same question. If you have a cat on the car i suggest removing it.

nothing wrong with being the underdog
anyway, if you're using a vortech FMU for 6lbs of boost.... what ratio of disc did you use?
I'll be using a cartech/BEGI adj. fmu on lower compression, so I'm not worried too much.
you must have upgraded injectors?
nice numbers man.
