Well I am about to be done, and I wanted to ask a few things guys.
Does FPR little hose have to be plugged in the air pipe??? It is not vacuum like on the 2.4L, so I am thinking plug it off?
Does the valve ventilation have to have the fitler on it, besides it leaking??
Do we need check valves on the Eco it is pretty hard to by pass the MAP sensor because the way it is??
Thanks all, I should be done with it in couple of hours.

yes it needs to be plugged in or you will run rich off boost
hook it up to a nipple on the intake manifold
no one has needed a check valve on a eco yet

On the last one not so. The very first street turboed ecote needed one. josh car needed it. When the computer saw boost it would freak out!!!

I thought you gave up for good this time and were returning your car to stock?

I thought I was gonna, but then I changed my mind.
Also, the nipples are reserved for the Turbo Accesories.
So it is suposse to go in the manifold??
What about the vent on the valve cover?

its gotta see vacuum , youll have to T it inline with 1 of the other lines then
its kinda hard to put a check valve on the map for a eco , since it mounts directly to the intake
also hahn hasnt needed 1 that i know of ive read through their instructions
yeah suncavi... DUH vacuum tees!!

If your talking about the little hose that goes to the valve cover to the stock air box on the trottle bodie...you have to buy a little filter they sell that fits right on the hose nipple on the ecotec valve cover. I bought mine on ebay for $8.00....
Ok the Turbo has been sitting for a little while and on the idle it is not free spinning, this can't be normal??
It spins if I give it throtlle tho.
Anyone?

John Higgins is Wrong.
I own the exact setup that was on the first street turboed ecotec.
You do not need a check valve. I beat my car everyday for over 6months, and the car ran PERFECT! Exactly the way Josh had it, minus that yahoo NX rig.
I've tested up to 10psi without a check valve and ran fine. Maybe after that is when it freaks out, idk.
My new setup is different. I'm using a Comptech Map Signal Modifier and the SDS EIC. The Comptech is supposed to be the Correct way to fool the map sensor on the Eco.
I'm also using the Comptech Map Signal Modifier and the SDS EIC @ 9 PSI.
You do not need a check valve.
I will be going to the DYNO tomorrow @ 1pm - results will be posted.

Turbonetics told me its fine if the turbo doesn't spin at idle. When I looked at mine it usually wasn't. I too had a t3/to4e .63ar.
That is what they told me, but I just took it out of a sping and hit 5 PSI a few times and now it FREE SPINS at like 10,000RPM, lol
I am good.
thanks

Im sure as long as the turbo is getting oil you shouldn't have a problem with it not free spinning.
and as for the comptech amp signal modifier, would this work on all map sensors or just the ecotec's for some reason?
<a href="http/www.cardomain.com/id/stevefire23">stevefire23</a>
Ecotec ONLY.
It's custom made by Comptech to simulate some 4.7volt signal or some shiit like that.
Hey Twisted system, where's them dyno sheets!?! (proper English I know)
