Well ive been searching and i get different answers in different posts... some say it can be boosted and some say no.. some say the tranny can handle it some say no.. My question is CAN I BOOST MY 03 SUNFIRE EVEN THOUGH ITS AN AUTO? and if so.. who makes a turbo kit for an auto?
here comes the boost!
yes you can boost it... and according to some it will be better to take power to it.. its stronger according to some people.. however a kit it not so easy to come by.. you can peice together a kit or try to get exploited to make you one.. thats about all i know

Who the hell said an auto "can't be boosted" ?
Anybody that says anything like that should probably be kept away from a turbocharger, because I fear they'd hurt someone. I can think of plenty of turbocharged J-Bodies with automatics. I'm one of them. Skilz10179 is another. They're seriously all over the place.

yes an auto can be boosted but cant take as much boost and thats according to Hahn. when they were testing on there Z24 auto if it wasnt no or full throttle it would slip like crazy and fry the tranny
you're all liars. you can not boost an auto cavy. it wont work. theres no poss way.
ohh and btw roy, an auto is the strongest tranny for our cars, esp the 3 speed. ive had no problems with mine slipping at all up to 10psi daily. at only 3 psi i put 206 ft lbs of torque to the wheels, so who knows how much 10 psi made. but either way, mine handled it fine. (using a shift kit of course)

Auto cavies can't make any power and are slower than five speed cars.Sell your auto and buy a five speed then turbo it. lol

I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
well im supercharged with the auto. I just installed my shiftkit and it made a world of difference. Now when i drive around without the shift kit, the car feels so slow. If your boosted a @!#$tkit is a must

Im not too fond of the shiftkit...
I was using it for a few days- about a month ago, i left my car running when i ran into wawa, came back outside- and it sounded terrible...
Just sounded like the car was running really bad, but it was the transmission "whirring" or something.. I havn't used it since.. That was on setting 1 also.

when i first got mine, i kept it on the high setting all the time. about a month or so into it, i noticed the same thing. a weird whirling sound when it was on. so i unhooked it for a few months, boosted the car, hooked it back up and now only use it when racing. haven't heard it since. Ive left it on for a few days straight though, but i try to only have it on during races. not to mention the fact the hard shifts while just daily driving can be annoying.
