Who can read cam specs?

What would be the difference in these two sets of cams. (Explain it to me as if i knew nothing about cams)

Off the shelf, Comp Turbo cams

VS

The other is a custom grind by comp that I have bought...

INTAKE
Rated duration: 246° At Valve Duration@.050" 204° Duration@.200" 146° Lobe lift .251 Valve lift .423

EXHAUST
Rated duration: 244° At Valve Duration@.050" 200° Duration@.200" 140° Lobe lift .248 Valve lift .419

That's all the info I gots...

What kinda cams did I buy and will they work for a small 20G turbo...

Those look identical, Travis. The only conceivable differences would be the centerlines and the ramp rates on the lobes, but I highly doubt those will differ much.

They do look very similar. Wonder why someone went with those instead of the off the shelf cams...

Either way, they are going into my motor...

Neither says anything about valve overlap. N/A you want overlap for scavenging, turbo you don't.

Personally I'd go with the proven Comp Cams

Would you still go with the proven comp cams if the custom grind was half the price (cause they are used) and still done by comp?

Perhaps I should call comp...

You could always put the cams in and measure them with a degree wheel and a dial indicator? That will give you the centerlines/overlap.
