need some help
Sunday, December 25, 2011 7:39 AM
i have a 03 cav ls sport coupe automatic and i just bought a 04 motor and i'm wanting to do some modding to it this winter. i've read on here that the m62 supercharger from the cobalts will fit, just making sure this is true? i can get one pretty cheap from my friend who has a spare for his cobalt. and i was looking at cams and i read about the stage one and two on here and was wondering which would work better with the supercharger? and would it be easier to get my heads ported/polished or buy a aftermarket one? and what are the differences in the 4-2-1 and the 4-1 header? and what about the crank, should i upgrade it? and would it be better to upgrade my auto trans or go to a standard? i dont know much about these motors and would like to know more about them and these parts. thanks in advance.

You need the whole m62 system to get it to work on your car. Your friends spare supercharger isnt enough. Plus there are some parts you need that are not on any car, will have to go aftermarket. Dont ask what... search.

Not to mention the after market parts like a throttle body adapter plate. You will also need things like intake manifold for the SC with a heat exchanger stock or aftermarket and reservoir tank, crank pulley, alternator, ac compressor, belt tensioner, TMAP sensor and connector and some more stuff. These could be quite a bit of money before even looking at building up the motor and getting cams etc.

Still amazes me why people do not search.
