I just picked up a new car with the m62 supercharger kit. It needs cooling bad!
Im wanting to do the best I can for my cooling so right now my idea is:
ZZP option B
pump
ZZP dual pass endplate
But not sure about what H/E to run.
I know the griffin is the best but it is out of my price range so im looking for the next best.
Im stuck between the ZZP S3 and the larger CX racing H/E's
Does anyone have any input??
A 03 cobra Heat exchanger is $90 or less on ebay or craigslist.
Not overly concerned on cost...I want the best cooling...not the cheapest.
I know the griffin is the best but it IS out of my price range. So looking for second best.
From what ive read a dual pass H/E is best.
If you'd like to save some cash, hit up the junk yard for a chevy aveo overflow tank, it's small and would work just well for an option b setup. I paid like $5 or 10 dollars for the tank iirc.
^Thanks for that tip...im going to go look at the local pick and pull and see what I can find.
The larger cx racing h/e doesnt fit without cutting the bumper support, the smaller one, the one that has the inlet and outlet on the same side is basically the same as the zzp s3.

Leafy the cx racing one with the inlet/outlet on the same side doesnt have a plate to separte the core at all. Fluid can just go in and backout. Thats why I added another outlet on the oposite side so fluid goes across the core, so It's 2 in's and 1 out.
it doesnt? That's silly.

I didnt find that out till I got mine.
That's silly. I also hate the filler neck on mine. That is going to get cut off and a patch welded on once I get better at welding aluminum.
