Well I was also researching on this because I think that the only good sounding 4 banger is a quiet one. I have found from a bunch of different tests (non-sponsored, ie no-one got free parts from the deal, so they should be un-biased) that on average the Hooker Headers Maximum Flow muffler is one of the 3 quietest high flowing mufflers and the highest flowing out of those 3. Then you need to decide, if you're running cat-less you can fit about a 40 inch long resonator in the exhaust, if you run with a cat that drops to like 28ish. I'm not sure which would be quieter, a 28" resonator with a cat or cat-less and a 40" resonator.

im selling my 2.5" mandrel bent turbo back. Sounded PERFECT on my car. 28" resonator, dynomax super turbo muffler. Sounded amazing. quiet at idle and only made noise when you really got on it in the high rpm. only reason im selling it is because im going to a 3" with a cutout. but im still using the same components. same muffler too.
i appreciate your help leafy, i am running with a "cat" (more like a 12" resonator)
i have emissions coming up in the next month so i have to have a cat shape section so they dont get suspicious
for the exhaust do you think it would be quieter or louder with running dual exhaust or single
Builtnboosted, how much are you looking to get and my only concern is that 2.5 isnt big enough. i have 2 1/4 now and i know that is too small. im at about 325 wheel now at 13psi and am looking to up it to 20psi
