So we all know that MOST people ditch the tube that goes from the valve cover to the intake tube, and replace with a cone style tiny ass filter. I have this done, and the smell of the unburnt fumes and gas drives me nuts.
I started looking at catch cans, and my dad told me to NOT install a catch can, just run the rubber hose as it should be and call it a day. his a old school mechanical tuning big block big truck kinda guy, like the smell of gas and burnt oil and blah blah blah but still knows his stuff fairly well for almost any motor out there. I know that either way, with the lines hooked up right it will fucntion as its should. My question is, is a catch can really NEEDED. Will the TB blade catch the build up that will happen from the fumes condensing, or will it all blow by the TB and go into the blower and the rotors? If that were the case, would the meth system i wanna install cause any issues, or would it kinda act as a cleaner to get the stuff off the rotors.
These are dumb questions, and i am probably over thinking it all. I just wanna make sure.

overthinking... PCV inlet (valve cover port) to intake tube, lots of methanol has been through my s/c and no wear or problems.
Catch can would be needed if excessive oil was coming out of the port ( which it shouldn't).

Got ya Tom. That is my plan, and if a catch can is needed in the future then so be it.
