oil caps

are the stock oil caps on the ecotec's vented. I ask because i seem to be having a bit of excess crankcase pressure no that i have the blower. I need to reattach the intake vacuum hose, and i think that will help, otherwise a vented cap would help too.

any help here guys, i am tired of the oil smell...lol

They are not. There is a vented GM example available, but I don't have the P# handy.

Just get a new 4 dollar one at the parts store and pick up one of the breather filters from the ricer isle. Drill a hole in the cap so that the filter can just barely squeeze in, take the clamp off the filter and jam that baby in there. And done.

And I recommend connecting the nipple on the valve cover through vac through a catch can. And if you can putting extra hole sin a spare valve cover for more vents going to vac. Best vac source is between the throttle body and the rotors on the blower, easiest way to get to that is to T off the brake booster line.
