Just got an eaton m62! Been doing some research had came acrossed a comment about the supercharger being mounted in place of the a/c! I was looking at eBay came acrossed a manifold with a pipe outlet where a coupler would be attached! I was thinking with some modding To the stock manifold or even buying a metal manifold and modify it for a coupler I think o could get it to work ! What do y'all think?
Basically I have a 1999.5 ld9 and I'm wanting to mount my eaton m62 in place of the a/c compressor! Does anyone think it's possible or am I just talking crazy?
Does anyone know what I'm trying to attempt? Or it there anyone that has done this?
your talking about TWO DIFFERENT things ..comparing apples to oranges .. this post and all the other ones appearing lately is giving me a headache ! lol
ac compressor
charger
So are you. Azncav, that's an m45. Yes an m62 can be mounted there but it comes done to are you willing to fab the needed pieces

u know better then this. dont let the newbie bring you down fluffers...
It would not be a good idea due to all the weather and road grim being down there.
Can it be done? Yes. Has it be done? Yes. It would require custom parts.

For those who are clueless this isn't a new concept, its called remote mount. You mount it where the a/c compressor normally is. Then fab up some plates to bolt onto the supercharger with provisions to attach to charge pipes, run them through an fmic to the throttle body.
Aye, no harm in trying if you have the skills time and money! You can try and track down overkill engineering here on the site and see if he is still selling his LD9 M62 adapters if you want an easier way to do it!
had a blown ecotec swapped 2000 cavy, now just an 02 Grand Am, and a 74 BMW 2002...
this is probably the plate he is talking about
ebay link
you need custom tubing to feed into the intake manifold, but yea sure.. why not?
If I use the manifold plate I found on eBay and mount the charger where the compressor is ..... What would a good b a good place for the tb?Make a custom elbow plate to mount it up by the battery? And I'm going to have to move the oil filter !
Props to who ever did this ! This is what I want to do pic here .....http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x284/nukkinfuttz/HPIM1692.jpg
Should the lsj 36lb injectors b good enough or should I go with rc's 320cc injectors?
36lbs (378cc ) > 320cc. Depends on how much power you are looking to make. Another thing you can do is figure out what size you need. Heres a link to a website to help figure out what your going to need.

Save your money. It might be worth something someday.

the m90 wont fit, its too big! nukkinfuttz installed one in his grand am, he has more space than a cav and still had to move his rad forward.
I found a set of used lsj injectors cheap.... 36lb I think I'll go with them! The pullyon the sc it think is 3" or stock sized I'm still waiting on ups!....any suggestions on a fmu and afpr? I'm also looking at a water to air intercooler from frozenboost, I'm going to have to relocate my oil filter! And suggestions on a relocation kit?
There has always been the idea in the back of my head that I would be putting an mp62 from a balt in my vert where my a/c is. I even bought nukkin's lower tensioner setup (I will be runnning a stroker w/2.3 block so it'll work) but this is a ways away.
