hey i have a t3/t4 57 trim .50AR turbo. on my build im doing internals machining low block p&p the head valvetrain and cams. full 2.5in exhaust and 2.5in ic piping. fuel pump and idk what size injectors yet... maybe 42lb??... thats still ion the air. is this a good turbo though??? or a bad choice???
Should be fine. What is the goal power wise?

I made 323 on 42 lb injectors. Mine is the same turbo except .63, injectors were near 80% but it could make more than that with a tune.

yeah in the same boat as you vince i wish i would bought 80s instead of the 42s just so i had room to grow but to the op if all your looking for is around 300 then 42s should be fine

well hoping for more than 300... hows the spool time with a turbo like that?? should i manual or electronic boost control?? i also have a knock off greddy rs blow off valve... looks just like it but the plate on the side is blank instead of saying greddy... worth keeping or ditch for authentic??"?
i have a manual, no need for me to ever change it either. and it spools just fine. no issues and i love where mine comes into power.
and wheres that?? whats the best mbc to get?? i want it in my cabin with me i heard hahlman has one that goes into the cabin without wasting alot of vacuum hose. whats your view on offbrand turbos...??
Mine is a hallman. It is cable adjusted so a cable runs from the knob to the wastegate. So you aren't losing vacuum at all really. Mine is mounted under the hvac.
As for off brand turbo. You get what you pay for.....
mines a jiamu.. it has a serial number plate and code it looks legit just never heard of them i looked them up and they are a popular deisel turbo company aparently.. i just didnt know if you guys have heard of them
