okay i have an 05 cav and im getting ahold of a full s/c kit off a SS balt, 3.1 pulley, 42lb injectors, h/e exchange, and a few other things. now ive heard i need to get ahold of a ls1 tb and adapter to really open her up, so is there anything else i need to gather up before i bolt it on or grab for future use and how long can i run my stock tb on it before i have to swap to the ls1? and ive been looking for close up pics you guys running s/cs and how you bays look and how you run your intake to tb.

There is no set point on when you "have" to step up to the LS1 TB. It is personal preference and power goals.
its an old concept. time for something new to take the reigns. - Z yaaaa
okay so how do i go about making the stock tb mount up and the cable reach and stay right?
2010 Lonestar Bash 2nd place J-Body Street Class
You make something like this and use the stock throttle cable bracket.

You will need the adpter posted above,I am running the SMG T/B on my set up,I just cut my K&N intake to fit,And worked out good because the elbow fit nice,Your T/B cable should be long enough, mine was,And use the factory bracket that holds the T/B.
okay so theres no way possible to run my stock tb w/o the adapter?

Nope you will need the adapter to run your stock T/B
Nope you have to have some sort of adapter be it one you make yourself or getting lucky and finding one for sale somehow
need to go premium again so i can edit. A few posts down is a feeler for Mike getting some made, and they are made by the same shop that made the originals for GM.
Congrats trey, I can't wait to see it again man!

okay guys i need a list of what i need cuz everytime i think i got things together someone tells me something else or i need this or that.
2010 Lonestar Bash 2nd place J-Body Street Class
this list has been made so so so so so many times. did u bother to search?
i know for a fact there is an itemized list on this forum that even includes part numbers.
yeah i found the list two minute later right after i posted, search button FTW, lol. i got a question, why is everyone running their AiT sensor in with the map sensor for, why not just put it into the intake pipe like how we run on the CIA's or stock?

Because the S/C heats up the air and it wont give an accurate reading if it is before the blower.

ohhhhh okay, face palm lol, how hard is it to wire in to the map sensor then? anyone have a pic of the ait wired in to the map?
2010 Lonestar Bash 2nd place J-Body Street Class
It takes a special 4 wire TMAP sensor that comes on the SC Cobalts or with the GMPP kit.
As long has you have the proper wiring diagrams it is easy.

yeah i got the diagram and i found a Tmap, now can i make my own harness or do i have to have that harness to hook up to it, because i've made a harness with prongs to fit up to another connection before and it worked out fine but is there something special about that pigtail or no?

The pigtail for the LSJ TMAP is special and the only application i have seen it is the LSJ.

its easy, just take the pig tail that your ordered with your t-map from the same person that sells the tmap. Then you have 5 wires to connect to the 4 wires on the t-map, one wire from the iat and one from the map are ground just connect both to the ground wire. and otherwise just follow the wiring diagram that should be on the site you bought the map from and have at it. And of the love of god dont use crimp connectors.
