if i have a exhaust cut out before the 2nd o2 sensor will it affect anything? i think it is just a cat monitor so it shouldn't matter correct? i have a 2 1/2 inch exhaust now i really wonder if 3 inch all the way back would make a huge difference or should i just leave the cut out.
It should still run right.
It
will still run correct.
I don't even have a rear O2 sensor anymore.

It will run the same, but you will get a code thrown.

yup this!!!
i got rid of my cat and 2nd O2 sensor and got a code you can get rid of with HPT
RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
^^^ my cutout never caused an engine light.
There are conditions for setting the DTC, I promise if you drive around long enough with it open it will come on. I don't know how long for though. It may even be 2 or 3 consecutive starts/stops with it failing to trip the code. As mentioned, HP tuners will fix ya right up!
not necessarily, a cutout a an open brand off of the main exhaust, open or closed you are never bypassing the exhaust it's always going to get exhaust flow which may or may not keep the computer happy. If your driving around with it open long enough to cause a problem you need to be shot on Christmas morning in front of your family.

That is a good point about the exhaust still flowing a little though the cat. I do know some people personally who have got a code from a cutout. Rather he gets one or not, it will still run fine. As far as getting shot on Christmas in front of you family, that seems a bit harsh
No not to harsh, you don't need it open unless your racing and you don't need to be racing on the street. I'm tired of hearing shot head ricers with fart cans and no resonators, I sure as hell don't want to hear those same idiots doing ricer fly bys with an open cut out cause they think noise = power
