I'm gunna say mine is around 80 coolant, 20 water right about now, seems to be working good.

when it stays above freezing I'm 100% water but when it gets below freezing I'm 50/50

I'm about 80% water 20 coolant.

Coolant is more for the lower freezing point (antifreeze) anti corrosion and to lubricate the water pump. So if your in a warmer climate above freezing I would use mostly water.

Just to chime in ..... Is anyone using "Redline Wetter Water"?
I put it in my DD just for giggles and it dropped the coolant temp by like 2-3 needle widths on the gauge.
I have a 96 DD and the gauge would read completly vertical (middle of the gauge)
now its a little to the left (on the cooler side)!

It actually worked .....
I might try it in my Boosted 2200.
If i dont like it, my drain is very easy to get to on my custom radiator.

I run 50/50 in the winter. I plan on running water and water wetter this summer in my cobalt. That coupled with an ice box should help things cool, especially at the track!!

Good info, I live in md and it warmer now, Maybe i'll do 90% water and the other 10 coolant, or the water wetter! can you buy that or do you have to order it?

please say you mixed up your amounts ? 80% coolant isnt gonna cool very well , water is alot better at pulling the heat out than coolant

60-75% is where id max winter mix , and even then id rather 50/50 or higher water content and water wetter or similar

Serious?! Doesn't the cleaning agent or solvents cause any problems?

Interesting.

We had a 50/50 premix jug of antifreeze sitting in the garage, so i just used that.

i'm planning on 50/50 with a bottle of water wetter for good measure.

also noticed that it dropped my operating temp when i threw it in the rad.

ive tried just dexcool as the factory has, dexcool with redline water wetter, straight distilled water with redline water wetter

not a bit of difference between any of them, i thought running straight water would be my salvation at the bash last year, didnt do a damn thing for me
