M45 belt question

I got a 96 2.4 im putting a M45 on....I read the sticky and I was told by someone I need to change my tensioner....do i have to get a 2000+ tensioner in order for the belt setup to work??

Been a while since I remember doing this mod. But I dont think you "change" your tensioner. You add a tensioner to your engine from the supercharger kit. Between like the alternator and compressor. Pain in the ass it was for me.

It's just an idler, not a tensioner. You shouldn't need an 00+ tensioner to do the install...

yea its just what my friend said who i got the supercharger from so i was just double checking....thanks guys
