Injectors driving me crazy!! Help

Well guys I am running a GM Performance intake manifold with long runners and 75mm TB and above 4000RPM the car falls flat on its face.
I am under impression that it is leaning out even tho the plugs are only showing some white on the tip, I am used to Turbo plugs getting smothered in white not familiar with NA stuff.
It bucks and when I put the AC on jesus.

Well I am running 2004 automatic ECU and it is throwing bunch of auto tranny codes maybe it run like poop because of that but maybe it is because I have 2002 injectors and rail and I am using it on a 2004 ECU.

Part number for the Siemens gray tops that I am using now is 12569091 and what is the flow of these damn things??
The ones that I also have are the skinny Delphis and PN is 12571863 and found these to be 220cc or something, but I heard them being 250cc, what am I going through here can anyone shed some light??

The Siemens grey tops are the OEM injectors12569091 for a 2002 LS Sport, they are 24lb injectors

12571863 is the 03-05 Eco Cav injectors, the flow rates are 24lbs also

The figures in HP tuners between 02 and 03-05 for injector constant is very very small. Not enough to cause the issues your having. You could put on a 03 Fuel Rail with the 03 injectors, that would work best with a 04 ECU, however you really should have a manual PCM if thats what your using.

Without knowing more its hard to say what the specific issue would be, or what setup your running NA, boost whatever.

Yazz,

Hows it going?? You are a hard person to get in touch with!! Do you now what the AFR's are when it does this? Has it been tuned at all?

The auto codes won't cause this, but I assume since you have not deleted them you are not using HPT, so no tuning has been done. More info?

Actually the difference in hpt between the 02 and 03-05 makes them run different. When I put a 04 computer on my 02 with 02 injectors it ran like crap when I would depress the clutch it would sputter and die every time. It ran like crap. So I would adjust your injector constant and ve tables to that of a 02 and should be fine.

Stock stock stock, guys the only mod I do have is the intake manifold and the TB so no HPT or any ways of logging or anything.
Unfortunatly, so I kinda ruled out the injectors, but I need to look into an O2 sensor what do you guys think??
I have heard o2s making cars run rich but can they also make you run lean?? I am sure they have that capability.

Well I am going to check the plugs AGAIN and aim at the 02 and then try taking the manifold off and putting the stock one back on to see whats up.
If I am still having a problem with the stock one this one goes right back on. lol

Any sensor that could be culprit I have no IAC

No IAC? My money would be on that being a cause or mos of the problem...

Been ok QBE, you? Ah................. listen to yourself, you are jumping at the fact that I am lacking an IAC, but realisticly read the problems I have lack of power big time, past 4k RPM? Now what would IAC have to do with something like that?

I know it has to be associated with the exhaust being plugged up of intake manifold is doing something to cause this.
Can a muffler go bad I wonder? Straight through Vibrant. Not much to it.??

I wouldnt be surprised if it was the much larger than stock TB and manifold you are running that is causing it to run out of fuel. Arnt the guys with the 2.4 eco manifold having to upgrade their injectors?

Yea John I am sure that's what it is. Check out the set up and the car and Facebook if you want. Anything new with you man.
I am looking to get an AFC or something just to help me out I got the 36lbs green tops, so I am sure I will be able to control them and better it somewhat.

But guess what, I might try putting the injectors in anyways, if it is lack of fuel it should idle like crap but it should clean up up top right?
I think that is my next step, determining weather it is the mixture.

you need larger injectors , or need to go back to the stock intake and tb , the 75mm is WAY to BIG for a stock motor and tune

Your cans ECU is tuned with a Map Sensor so it is setup with a VE table
When you change something as radical as a VERY large Intake manifold you screw with the VE of the engine and the computer cant compensate for the added airflow that really shouldn't be there! (since it doesn't have a MAF sensor or anyway to know EXACTLY how much air is really going into the engine)
if you add in the larger injectors the ecu will allow the car to run pig rich for a while but it will eventually use the o2 sensor to pull fuel and learn where 14.7 AFR is at idle and cruise but when you stomp it it should be ok (but beware the stock 03+ computers will still try to pull fuel or learn to pull fuel until around 5600 RPM and there is no way to fix this without HPTuners)
So I would invest in HPTuners or Megasquirt <-----thats what I did
