what's going on fellas.. aight so here's where im at i finally got all the kinks out of the ride for the most part and im ready to get on with the next step... I turboed my 2.2 eco 05 sunny and tuned w hp tuners replaced the injectors with 450 precisions and got the thing running pretty smooth at 7 psi.... i got a few questions on some stuff so if you have any experience or just flat out know anything about it please let me know!!

1. boosted running great i want a true answer on how much boost my stock eco can handle because im hearin all this stuff bout hahn runnin12.70s on just a boosted sunny at 8 psi.. i go to the track a bit and i pulled a 13.9 on 5psi... i really would like to see 12s lol...

2. winter is almost here and i get a fat check from the college i go to for what my loan has left after paying tuition lol. so i got a lil cash to play with. what im wondering is if you had my car and 5 grand where would you start being turboed and tuned... and thats it ahaha

3. trans!! they all Fuc+in suck... i have replaced it twice... im real sick of having the prob so if anyone out there knows a place were i can either have my sh*t build or pre built trannys iono anything let me know...

250hp is what gm rated the Eco at, although a lot of us have more on stock engine. But so far I've seen my buddies Eco take 16psi fine

1. I hate when people ask "how much boost can my stock engine take". There is no magic number of psi a stock eco will blow at, it all depend on how much hp you are making. GM blew the rods out of a 100% stock 2.2L ecotec at around 270ish crank hp with nitrous(nitrous causes more stress on engine parts than positive cylinder pressure).

2. If i had 5k to blow on my engine i would build a sleeved L61 with a CNC ported head and toss on a bigger turbo. If you have to pay the 5k back dont blow it on ANYTHING, you'll hate yourself later on.

3. That sucks, alot of people have been holding good power(300whp+) on stock F23s.

As for your tranny learn how to drive. I have found that to be the biggest issue with people and tranny issues.

1. It really depends on how its been maintained, your mods, and your tuning abilities. Each car/engine is different.

2. I would spend the $5K on more schooling. I would take a class on the English language. It's going to be hard trying to make a living if you talk how you type.

3. I don't see how so many people destroy these transmissions. I tend to agree with John Higgins.."Learn how to drive. I have found that to be the biggest issue with people and tranny issues."

i have over 300 ftlbs goin into my F23 and it runs like a dream way better then the isuzu. how much boost thats like what tinkles said theres no magic number you have knock to consider supporting mods. meth injection might be a consideration to solve knock

Last i checked no one new if a F40 would physically fit in a J, unless you guys know something different...

would a saab trans work? otherwise you would have to change the computer for it wouldnt you and use alot of saab guages tooo? i dunno just asking

Easy no... but it is bolted to a 2.0L ecotec turbo. Probably will need axles and all that good stuff.

Nope, its just a manual trans. The only comp work that might be needed is messing with the VSS.

1. You can run 50+ psi's on your stocks dog.....CRANKS IT UP'S!!!!

2. DUDE...don't listen to anybody who says dont spend the money or whatever.....First, spend 1.5K on the hottest stripper, then blow the rest on wicked cool internalz....your car will be a spooln crasy.

3. Yeah man, I'm with you on the trans. If it can't handle stop light clutch dumpers or gear bangn it's just a pussy trans. U also miht find you have better luck with a cabinet instead of a sunny.

aight... so basically what i have learned from this post is my english is bad..... and also i should run 50 psi... hey whatever works... sorry i dont take the time to punctuate unless i really need to so deal w it hahaha. anyway thanks guys for some advice the main reason i asked is im running weds and was thinkin about swapin the 8 lb spring with the 12 lb and changing the injector constant a tad bit to even things out... I really just wanna run a decent time so whatever works... and also i do believe it is the way you drive dont get me wrong i slam some gears but for a tranny to go in 2 to 3 months just seems odd... the f40 what tranny is that? maybe the new colbalt or some? iono.. but ya cool guysthanks

The F40 is found in Saabs, not sure of the model but they have to have the 2.0T ecotec engine in them.

Here is an idea for you. Maybe when you take the few extra seconds it takes to talk to us like an adult instead of like a third grader we might take a few extra minutes to really try and explain things to you. Until then it really is your loss not ours. When your posts annoy us instantly we will move on or maybe some of us will do just as I am and make an example out of you simply for our own entertainment. Your approach dictates our response.

If i recall, my first post was very well spaced and very easy to read. When i get Bullsh*t aswers to a very decent set of questions it tends to tick ya off. I love the fact that there is very few generally nice ppl on here, and then the rest try to make

themselves feel better by putting someone else down... Its cool tho.. thanks to you who did help very much appreciated.. Anything else on the topic... Key word "on the topic" please let me know.. thanks again

....when Tinkles said hit enter a couple times, he didn't mean ANYwhere in the text area you're typing in, but generally when you want to separate paragraphs..... But you're gettin there.

The F40 trans is found in 04-08(?) Saab 9-3 2.0T.

If you could actually get one to fit properly inside the engine bay of a J body, and run with our ECU's properly, kudos to you. Possibly do a guide to show everyone how it was done. I know I'd sure as hell take a 6speed F40 over the F23

I have done both trans, so i know my way around getting them in and out. When you guys say "if it will fit" what do you mean by that? Just a lil confused on if your worried
about the tranny not going in properly, or if it is physically to big.
Although i feel like im being treated like a joke, i really am learning and understanding the topic a lil better. If you kinda wanna go a lil further first thing i was thinking about buying were the turbo cams from "Allecotec.com". I wanna build the car but not to a crazy track ride, just a safe reliable car that really sh*ts and gets it... Thanks again guys
