is there anyone in the PA area (near philly) that knows of any shop that can tune a 95 cavalier 2.3, i have been searching for like 3 weeks for a place to tune my car, and i have been having no luck, shops would tell me they can do it, then seem to never be able to do it. i made appointments then on the day of the appointment, mysteriously they are not able to do it, please if anyone can point me in the direction of a shop i would really appreciate it, i need to get this project done. Any of the guys that are very knowledgable about this please help out.

are u saying i lost 95% because they dont even have to use that to tune the 96 and up cavys. would it be possible or easier to just swap in a pcm from a 96-99 cav 2.4, it seems almost impossible to find someone around here that will tune a 95

No, read up, and learn how to use TunerPro.
In the end, it is by FAR better then HPT.

I downloaded tuner pro on to my computer, and I played around with it for a while, but it seems like I need a bin file, I dont really know how to get it all to interact together, i guess when i get the ecu out, and i plug in the ostrich it may start coming together, but it looks like i am going to still need a chip burner like burn2, also if i use tuner pro rt, what would i need to be able to datalog other than the ostrich, since i think all that does is emulate
if it can't win a race it better win a show
you have your bin,,, its on your STOCK Prom.
You just need a header to read it, then a mask file to read it.
set the cheek sum to "AA" and what not.
Just start playing around with it, do what you need to, to get the AFR to where you want it.

You can also use TunerCat RT with the $36 def file available on their site.
TunerPro itself does not support many ECUs. Almost all of the available def files (xds) for it are user generated and can be a bit unreliable.
The only TP def file for a 95 that I know of is C Smyth's and its a work in progress.
To datalog, you will need TP with an appropriate .ads file. This is also a work in progress. For hardware you cannot use an Ostrich at all for logging. You will need to by an ALDL interface and the proper cable (OBD2 style).

i have a question, as for the chip that i need to burn on, is it a 28 pin, and is this chip (C2 SST 27SF512 Chip) the right one,
http://www.moates.net/product_info.php?cPath=26&products_id=39
and should i also get the burn2 chip burner,

im trying to make sure i get everything from moates this time lol, it will be the third time i order from them trying to get everything i need to tune.
I'M assuming i would also need this for tuning and datalogging,

I have the ostrich 2.0, the chip, the chip socket, wideband O2, tunerpro and tunercat rt
if it can't win a race it better win a show
also the $36 def file is for a 95 2.2, will that still be ok, i can download that for $20, im guessing that would be the starting point and i will have to modify that file
