i have a 97 z24 with a t3 t4.. im currently running 5psi and wanna run more. but im not sure how much my 2.4 can handle. anyone have any expierince or heared how much a 2.4 can handle.....

Whats your set up? Cams? valve train mods? pistons? rods? fueling? intercooler? have you tuned it?

If its intercooled on a stock motor with enough fuel I think 8 PSI is about max safe on a DD.

pretty much im running stock. i do have a upgraded fuel managment. of coarse intercooler . nothing internal on engine. i wanna make my car a beat lol. already get heads up from everyone

What injectors are you running, how are you geting fuel?

With the right set-up a 2.4 can take 15psi, but requires proper tuning.

It really all depends on your turbo specs... t3/t4 leaves alot of necessary info out. You will also need an upgraded fuel pump and injectors if you plan to throw any amount of boost at it as well as tuning.

in my personal opinion... i wouldn't do any more boost. instead i would start getting bolt-on upgrades as and start buying up engine parts for a build.

THEN... when you have a brand new engine in the car, the parts made to handle boost and have more experience with this engine and tuning it turn up the boost.

my stock LD9 ran for 6 months on 15psi, improper fuel, and improper tuning...... I can only imagine how it would have ran with the correct fuel and tuning!
