It was a good 8hr job or so for me a few buddies, that was going to the store a few times for some fittings for my intercooler and all.
Very good instructions, wish it was in color though. I had an original Build Book in Color from the 02 Bash but I can't seem to find it anywhere.
Before you even begin, make sure you have a 90degree angle grinder with a fresh disc on it, you have a small part of the engine casting that has to be ground off, a Nice new Disc will make it look great and easier to reach when doing so.
Other that that, a few simple hand toold gets the job done.
ALSO, it you can get acces to a lift, it will make it MUCH easier. We just used jack stands. But when my exhaust and header was installed at my buddies shop I quickly realized how much easier it would have been to install it using a lift.

no just a 90* bend from some leftover boost pipe w/ a straight coupler.

Could someone provide me with the install instructions that come with the kit? I'd like to go through it ahead of time and get an idea of what I'm getting into. I have the a copy of the build book but I know the instructions that come with the kit are more detailed. Thanks
There's a
LINK here in my FAQ. Scroll down and the link is right after the parts & bolts list.
The install is pretty straight forward. Just make sure you have a Dremel or good file on hand, you'll need to shave down the one lift hook casting to make room for the tensioner assembly (which is pictured also in my FAQ)..I somehow overlooked that before I did my install and didn't realize it til trying to install the tensioner.
Evilution, thanks for the quick response. I noticed that link in the write up and I already have a copy of that .pdf. I was curious if the manual that comes with the kit is identical to that or if it provides more detail. I've already gone through the build book version to "mentally prep" but I was curious if there was a different/more detailed version floating around.
If I remember correctly from helping a friend that had the GMPP kit, it's the same set of instructions.
I've got the pdf of the install instructions at home, after I get out of work I can email you them.
He dis his exhaust work also thats why the lift
Nothing wrong with taking your time
i'm merely saying that it doesn't HAVE to take 8 hours. it's fairly straight forward.
Thanks for the replies everyone. Jeff (JUCNBST) graciously provided me with a copy of the install instructions that come with the kit. If anyone needs a copy I would be happy to pay-it-forward. Just PM me.
Just follow those instructions step by step and dont jump ahead and you'll be fine. I have 3 "installs" under my belt and still use those instructions to make sure we dont forget anything.
