I bought a turbo 2.4 from a member off of here awhile back and im workin on getting this thing to daily driveability. as of now it seems like its just one step away from being there and that step is proper tuning.
the car has the following:
T3/T4 Hybrid turbo
Spearco intercooler
Tial 38mm wastegate
Apexi SAFC2
Greddy B Spec2 boost controller
2.5 inch charge pipes
GM S/C Reflash
Ford Green Top injectors (440cc)
Motor Mounts
Cooling fan over-ride
I dont know why the gm reflash is on it but if i keep it at idle the car will bog out. friend of mine said its cuz the reflash adds too much fuel in the low end and it floods the motor. but the car also had safc II on it but it was disconnected when i got it.. Wut i would like to do is take it to the dealer and flash it back to the stock tune.. I should be able to run it ok like that till i can get a good tune right? I have a buddy that turboed his also and he is on stock tune but i cant get ahold of him.. will the stock tuning allow me to drive it without bogging it out like it does now? It also doesn't hold too much boost and i cant check yet cuz the controller isnt hooked up and im thinking thats why. It also shows boost which is why i cant check a boost gauge. I'm goin to get that hooked up and try to figure out this bogging problem.
Untuned for the 440cc injectors. The GM S/C reflash is a tune for 310cc injectors.
Keep the GM reflash and get HPT to fine tune it for those 440's.

Sounds like what mine did with 440's and the stock S/C reflash. Even with 370's it would still do a similar thing. HPT to correct it and it idled just fine.
Yea, get hpt and change the injector constant for the 440's. Do you have a wideband?
crap...so avoiding hpt isnt gonna work.. thnx for all the input.. i appreciate it. it has the AF guage already but i think the wideband was removed..ill get down and check it soon.
you could avoid HPT by getting some 310cc injectors.....
but HPT opens your doors more, try to find a shop that uses it, it will cost less.
haha i did try..suckers want 350+ for it.. crap..... i may ask one of the performance shops if they'll swap my injectors for theirs..
well $100 of that is just to license the car....
true..my club has hp tuners already.. i asked if i could bring them our stuff and they still said 350 for the tune plus dyno time.
thats not a bad deal at all.....I sayz....go fur it.
I'm goin to get the safcII hooked up to the car so that i can take it to the few places i need it to go to..after i get everything squared away im gonna pursue the hp tune..
Could someone also help me with wut type of spark plugs i should get?
tr6's are for the 2200, BUT ngk plugs are nice.

Huh??? There are plenty of quads/ld9's using tr6's including myself.
Run the TR6's if you want, or the ACDELCO R42LT5 plugs.
You have way too much fuel. Tune it - 2 hours with HPT does wonders for driveability.

Slowly but surely may some day win this race...
both plugs noted..thanks for the info
I ran TR6's for about 7 years.

Sorry I don't know "wut" you should gap them at. If you asked what should I gap the plugs at my answer would be the same as gm recommends for the cars boosted with the m45 .50
