Recently I was searching to see the price of the Supercharger kit for my 03 Cavalier and on Crate Engine Depot the kit is not listed at all, so I jumped over to Pace Performance and the kit was labeled as "Discontinued" and unable to purchase.
So its really done with? I find it odd because the 00-02 Z24 Supercharger kit is still available from both places, yet you'd think the "newer" kit would be available longer then an "older" one.
Bummed because I was looking to pick one up this summer
i really really hope this isnt true
Its said it was discontinued for a while now. But you can still find them.
^^ Thats for the 2.4 not the eco
the eco kit listing is below the 2.4 kit some gm dealer still can get the eco kits.
Never Enough Auto can get the GM Supercharger kit. #1780003 Give them a try.

Actually the 2.4 kit is no longer made either. GM has sooo many of them they still have plenty of them. At one time they were considering trashing 1000's of them.
FU Tuning
I seen summit still has the eco charger kit

man, where the hell do you get all your GM info from? seriously... i want to know.
anybody know the number of EITHER kit produced?
and i wouldn't worry, there always going to be around. you may just have to settle with a used kit, unfortunately.
and how many cobalt ss/sc's and ion redline sc's were made? yeah... theres hundreds of a thousands of m62's out there.
And I should've been drown in the rivers I've found in token lost...
I always figured worst comes to worst I'd be able to piece it together, but why would I want to do that when I could just get a kit?
When it comes time I'm ready to actually purchase one, I'll talk to my dealer, They came close to getting me an Xtreme Tuner kit, so I'm sure they could pull through for me with this.
if thats the case. contact hahnracecraft!

you can always steal the parts off a cobalt too, its been done long before the gm kit was ever out

I was considering it, but their kit says for manual only, and unfortunately mine is an automatic.
i wish gm would make a damn supercharger kit for my 08 cobalt beater so i can have warranty boost on it until my new car gets finished
why not trade both cavs in and get the cobaltss or if your like me and dont know how to drive get the hrr-ss trade both in get some thing that can get the job done. buy a gm certified supercharged cobalt ss. at least you get some kind warranty. the best thing you wont have to deal with the wonderful scumbags on www.jbody.org

I heard this from a reliable source also, something like 1500 kits ordered to be destroyed just to make room for other parts. I think the first 2 years this kit was available, something like only 24 kits sold. This was a couple years ago...

It is dicontinued, sadly. But if anyone where looking for the GMPP 17800003 s/c kit I have one new in box just the way it came from the dealer (to the tune of about $3,100).
My 03 cav got totaled before I got to install it and I'm on to other things.... make me a fair offer
Here's the specs from summit:

why trash them thats friggin stupid, how about making them less and clearing them out that way. as a matter of fact since I own GM as a taxpayer I demand head of line privledge to get one for $29.99 and a ham sammich.
Just noticed today that ZZP took their M62 eco kit off the site. This is not good.
well wtf. i'll take one for more than a junkyard will offer. for real, i know alot of jbody owners talk but never pay up but if they're just going to trash them, i'll buy one.
