i just got the super chartger kit for my 02 2.4sunfire and i was just wondering if the u=super charger comes oiled, and whether or not the kit is supposed to come with some sort of program for a dealer to reflash the vcm, i thought it said it did on paceperformance someone let me know asap i need to put this on tonight.
just take the car to the dealed with the part number in the instructions and they,ll reflash ur ecm not sure about oiling

should come ready to bolt on, and then have flashed by dealership.

Just wanted to let you know Short Hand is right it is already filled with oil.
One very important thing to note. You must use the stock one bar map until the computer is re-flashed. You can drive it to the dealership just baby it. You will be fine as long as you are not driving it hard enough for it to build boost. I drove mine nice and easy for about 2 weeks before I got mine re-flashed. If you want to drive it to the dealership that is fine just do not put the 2 bar map sensor from the kit it in until after the re-flash in done.
So it would go like this drive the car with the one bar map to the dealer-reflash-then before you start the car after the re-flash put in the 2 bar and then you are good to go. You could even put the put the 2 bar sensor in after they pull the car into the stall before they re-flash it.
You just do not want to go to the dealership put the 2 bar in in the parking lot and then have them try and drive it into the mechanics bay. It would barely run if you did that making it very challenging to drive as well as you would probably get a check engine light that the mechanic thinks he knows why it is on but does not understand what I just told you about the 1 and 2 bar map. Chances are they are going to look at you sideways and dumbfounded and confused when you ask for the re-flash. I would be surprised if they even know GM performance parts makes a supercharger for a sunfire. So be prepared to explain all this to them as well as answer 50 stupid ?s while they talk to you like you are there is no way you put a GM supercharger on your fire.
Taking the charger install manual with might help help bring them up to speed on what you have done and what you want done Good luck buddy

I didn't connect my tmap sensor drove it to the dealer unplugged and they plugged in in for me I didn;t need to leave my old map sensor in the car ran really rich but idled fine

The car you are referring to is the 2005 listed in your profile. The ecotec is different than the 2.4 in this respect. I.E. the 2.4 does not combine the IAT and MAP sensor so there is no such thing as a TMAP on the 2.4 The original poster has a 2.4 so what I said was pertinent to him.

i drove there under two grand the whole time with the 2 bar map in there and it was fine, i did get a cel though i believe because i had to fab an intake and there was no IAT connection for it so i left it unplugged for the time being. i brought it to the dealer today and they werent having a problem besides the fact they gave me @!#$ for driving it and then they tried reflashing and they called me back saying something about someone b4 i had the car changed the pcm and there was no vin. now they have to download a vin or serial number or something inorder for them to do the flash so i gotta find out wat happens tomorrow.
you do realize the IAT sensor has a spot in the supercharger now? not the intake.
oh god. that was smart of me idk i must not have seen it i was up till 3am putting it in with a buddy of mine @!#$
may sound dumb but considering how exhausted i was i cant remember where the iat spot on the supercharger is located mind helping so i know when i get my car back i dont wanna leave that sensor out now

It is on the same side as the throttle body directly below it.
