I have had the gm supercharger on my 2.2 eco for about a month now and i have to say it has to be the best investment i have made so far but as always its not enough so i was wondering how i could squeeze about 30 more horses out of it without tearing it down and doing a complete engine rebuild i already have a cat back would a header make that big of a difference or do i need to get a smaller pulley and if so i woiuld need some one in the knoxville tn area to tune it

your gonna need a couple things...........30 hp isnt gonna be cheap

first off you will need to buy an intercooler setup, so you can cool your manifold......search

then you will need a header and 2.5 or bigger exhaust

now that your flow is improved you can throw on a smaller pulley.

generally the lowest to go is a 3.0 and thats about 10-12psi depending.

but the smaller the pulley= the more heat = really bad and will shorten the life of your engine significantly without proper cooling

i have a intercooler setup off a cobalt ss, a dual bypass plate for the intercooler, header, 2.75 exhaust
and a 2.9 pulley, upgraded fuel pump.

with all that your looking @ about a grand

fyi if you just do a pulley you WILL blow a ringland with no oter mods

swapped, supercharged, intercooled, 2.9, fun

You're not that far from me. PM me if you're ever near Nashville.

Also, make sure if you raise the boost pressure that you have cooler spark plugs. Either the Champion SRT4 plugs or the other really good ones that I can't think of right now. lol

Definately intercool it, you'll feel a huge difference. I know I did. I did my intercooler setup in Knoxville too!

A full exhaust will help a ton. LSJ header with a 2.5" cat-back is the easiest. Though a header with your current cat-back will benefit you as well. Make sure you replace the cat though or it will all be for nothing.
