I noticed today as I walked through a junkyard a older 2.2OHV, their manifolds are alot different then 95-and up, but retain the same bolt paterns. My question is I'm thinking in welding a T3 flange to the older cavaliers exhaust manifold toward the middle, think this would work?
are you serious or just trying to be EXTREMELY cheap? i would not advise doing it at all but hey thats just me.
Not cheap at all, I like to take on a hands on approach. I mean it's not hard at all to do, it would be to easy to buy one from ebay for $150, when you can make one for roughly 30-40 bucks. Plus the old manifolds have denser material which can be easier to weld as compared to die-cast.
Oh yeah log turbo manifolds look restrictive, by doing this mod, maybe the flow would follow a common direction evenly.
haha still have mine too.
It worked and it was free .
2.2ohv,2200ohv,2.4tc,2.2ecotec,2.8,3.1,3.8sfi,3800sc.
Gotta squirt'm all.
soon to come lsj...
Well you could do that..or look at rd fabs is makeing a rull stainless turbo header thats going to flow very well for a very very good price. depends what you want out of it all though.
