HI I NEED SOME HELP, AN I HAVE AN INTERESTING QUESTION.
I AM PLANING TO PUT AN M45 SC, TO MY LD9 ENGINE, BUT I ALL READY INSTALL A UNORTHODOX CRANK PULLEY.
DOES THE M45 CAN WORK WHIT THIS PERFORMANCE PULLEY OR IS RECOMMENDED TO PUT THE OEM PULLEY AGAIN?
IT IS GOING TO MAKE THE SUPERCHARGER SPIN SLOWER, WHICH MEANS LESS HORSEPOWER.
GET A STOCK SIZE CRANK PULLEY OR A SMALLER SUPERCHARGER PULLEY TO REVERSE THE EFFECTS.
OR GET AN OVERSIZED CRANK PULLEY WOULD ALSO HELP YOU WITH SPINNING THE SUPERCHARGER MORE.
WHO GETS A OVER SIZED CRANK PULLEY!
done.

I will tell you right now it wont work .. my sister had a smaller/lighter crank pulley on her cavalier and when i put the supercharger on it... the belt wouldnt go tight... and i dont mean it was just some what loose.. i mean it floped over the supercharger pulley... you would need bigger then a 3" supercharger pulley to make it tight enough to spin the supercharger (i tryed it with my 3" pulley i had laying around and it was still pretty loose)
so what im getting at is pull it off... will not work.. end of story

For a device that runs purely on the speed the engine turns, you don't want to make said device think the engine is running slower. If you want a "performance" crank pulley for a supercharger setup, get a lighter stock size or larger one....or you can get a smaller charger pulley, but you will run into problems with the belt slipping if you go too small.

Agreed. This way you still have the benefit of the lightwright pulley but in a stock size so it will not have a negative effect on the boost the supercharger puts out.

No the one you posted is not stock size. It says it is an underdrive pulley and you do not want an underdrive pulley with a supercharger.

lol that's funny...the link says UNDERDRIVE right in it...yet he still asks...
