hello all got a question about octane on gas in my car bout to get boosted . I have 89 octane in the car will this be ok till i can put premium in or is there any way to raise it up so i dont toast my engine. thanks for the help
yeah thats what ive been reading about the octane booster another quick ? woul putting premium on top of what i have in there help at all
sounds good that what ill do then thanks for the info
Depends on how much you plan on running through the car. The octane simply determines how much pressure the gasoline can be put under before it combusts. I would atleast go to medium grade.

If you don't boost it, the octane doesnt matter. Just use the rest of your 89 as a time to break in all the brand spankin' new parts and by the time you can get 93 in there, she should be ready to go.

^^^^^ Exactly what I was going to say.
FORGET GIRLS GONE WILD WE HAVE GOVERNMENT SPENDING GONE WILD!
you will be more then fine to run that tank down (dont drive balls out though).. just dont do any tuning with it... wait till you can get at least 30-40 liters of 91 in there before tuning...
The First Twin Charged jbody
blue car (R.I.P) - 240whp @7psi..
silver car - 305whp 315lbs.tq @15psi (91 Octane) or 420whp & 425lbs.TQ @20psi (94 octane+Alcohol Injection)
All dynos run on a Mustang dyno
i have medium in there i just dont wanna have to find a way to dump it and i wish there were new parts in there but its an old engine its as broke in as its getting lol just wondering if i can run the medium out till i can put 91 in but i think i will be fine as long as i dont dog it

I meant breaking in your turbo (or supercharger, you never specified) parts, not your engine. I know the parts technically dont need it, but no matter the situation, you could run as low as octane as the car will physically run on with a boosted setup as long as you dont boost.
