I know ALOT of people use the Mustang Cobra Heat Exchanger, but what does everyone else use?
I want mine to look nice. I was looking at one that looks like an Intercooler for a Turbo, BIG AND SHINEY.
I know it is a little overkill, but it will work.
So what do you use?
fluidyne makes a huge cobra upgraded one, its big and shiny and will support more hp then the m62 will ever make. its about $320 i believe so not to bad of a price either..
I use a LFP Extreme Intercooler Heat Exchanger 2003-04 Mustang Cobra (bought off eBay)...cost $199
Here's the actual web site:

Here are a few pics...I may end up cutting in to the bumper support this summer though and actaully mounting it flush with the radiator (once I remove the AC)...make it sit up in the bumper some more....
...and as you can see in the pics...I had tabs welded to the top of mine to mount to the underside of the bumper support
It's 18 fins per square inch...I think the size is 9X27X3 but not sure...

yea the mustang heat exchanger is more than enough and very efficient.
1. its made by garrett
2. If it can support a a supercharged v8..... im pretty sure it can support more than enough power for any 4 cylinder on the m62...

Do you have the Part # for that RESIVOUR? That is the one from the REDLINE and the SS, right? It bolts DIRECTLY onto the Frot of the charger?
If you have the Part #'s that would be GREAT
I think I may have the part number for that at work, I'll check tomorrow. I have it on mine but I could only use one of the bolt holes on the bracket because it sat to high and hit the hood, other then that it works really good.
You'll have to mount the resivour to the radiator support. It will not work in the same place the SS/Redline does.
I actaully have never mounted mine...the way I have my hoses ran it just sit up all nice and pretty on it's own! Kind of weird that it does...but it does!

MIne will be ported and polished once I return....
Can't wait to see it!!

I bought the ZZPerformance one...you'll need the Pump 4 - GM on the drop down menu...do not selct any options as the manifold and SS resevior are all 3/4 inch inlet/outlets....as well as the Heat Exchanger (the one I posted and most others I think)...everything will match up.

I mounted mine to the bottom radiator support (on top of it sort of....more like to the side facing the engine). Used large clamps to hold it in place.
Also ran a relay of it to the ACC power source inside the car. This way it's only on when the key is turned on. Ground to the frame.

Looks good Tom! Glad to see you got around to finishing it? Do you put the header on yet?

lol, no. Looking to get the header put on with a custom downpipe in 2.5 all the way back.
For the coolant tank, does that just hook up with a T- fitting? Also, does it need to be mounted higher than the pump, or does that not matter?

There's two hose connections on my resevior (cobra mustang 03-04). The top is return the bottom is feed. and I would mount it higher than the pump.
