ok i am going to be supercharging my car after doing all engine work. now i am not really sure on how i hook an injection kit up to...i searched alot of people buy a tb spacer for it but then i still dont understand where it hooks up and how it hooks up do i drill and thread or what . i know this is a real newb sounding question but this is one of the only things i dont understand about performance mods

Most people buy a tb spacer and drill a hole in it to just big enough to thread the alky nozzle into the hole. The reason you want it after the tb is because if you inject it before the tb it is only a matter of time before it ruins the throttle position sensor. Hope that helps.

So you are saying that you would think that spraying water into an engine would not be of a performance benefit because water does not burn right?
The water/meth mix (I just refer to it as alky cause it is quicker to type) is ijected at 150 or higher PSI out of a tiny hole so it is like a super fine mist as opposed to a stream of water. As it goes through the supercharger and and head and into the cumbustion chamber it it cools off those parts and absorbs heat and then turns to steam. It also slows the burn of the fuel slightly simaler to running higher octane gas. Thus your computer detects less knock and retards the timing less than it would if it sensed knock so you get more power from the more aggresive timing not to mention the actual air charge is cooler and so is the supercharger.
However youy are kind of right in that line of thinking because if inject to much alky your engine will bog down and you will lose power. The amount of alky injected is controlled by several things mainly the size of the alky jet. The jet is the part you thread into the TB spacer. It is also controled by the boost switch wich determines at what PSI it starts to inject. Most people use a 3 or 5 psi switch. You only want it to spray at full throtle under high boost.

if u r gonna put the nozzle after the TB u need a special solenoid in the line so that the large amount of vacuum on the backside of the TB doesn't siphon methanol into the engine when u don't want it to. and, u can inject at various boost levels/TP angles if a progressive controller is used.
The brand does not really matter. I found an OBX one on ebay used for 22 bucks. I think the OBX is just a cheap knock off of the airraid as almost everything OBX makes so far has proven to be knockoff.

someone else I talked to said it was better to have the alky nozzle further away from the throttle plate to allow it to vaproize more, therefore cooling more. How does the alcohol hurt the TP sensor? it should be sealed from the intake tube IIRC.
I found that my intake air temps where lower spraying closer to the TB. i have a TB spacer, but im lazy in winter.

so, with a supercharger, does the methanol spray into the s/c, or does it spray after the s/c?
well you are doing the whole kit because the sc is heat soaking with a smaller pulley so you are doing it before the supercharger.. hence the throttlebody spacer ... got it?

nope......... nozzle is in the intake tube just before TB. you can use spacers if you please. just remember you need to use a solenoid to prevent syphening under high vacuum if you inject anywhere between TB and head.
