good turbo for my 2.4?

hey, i have a 02 Z24 and it came with a "disco potato" (GT28RS) turbo, I was just wondering what you guys thought about this turbo. I have some pics of the engine if that would help, although you can't see the turbo so... here is a link to the turbo, i just got it from google http://horsepowerinabox.com/HPIAB2/prod176.htm I am hoping to build the engine, well that is if it's not built yet... yes I am another guy that bought a car that he knew nothing about off of the internet and yes, i did get screwed over a little, but currently I am still ahead if that makes any sense haha. What is the best way to tell if my engine is built, or what parts aren't factory, etc. Any info is greatly appreciated as I don't really know much about these things.

Thanks,
Shane

it's great for 300hp setups.

well pretty much the only way to tell if the engine is built is to tear it apart and take a look at what type of parts ya got

or turn up the boost til you're putting down 450 hp and if a rod doesn't blast through the block it's built

I was just checking out the specs on that turbo. It looks to me like it should be perfectly suited for your 2.4. In fact it is the exact same turbo I had on my 2.4 except mine was not as good since it was not a ball bearing.

I would say thats damn near perfect. Should have minimal turbo lag because of its size and the ball bearing. And i would tear into your engine just for the hell of it. That way you know if it's built, and then you have the experience with the car. And its actually a lot of fun!
