Fuel system questions
Friday, July 27, 2007 5:23 PM
I've got a few questions about fuel systems I'm building a turbo engine and I wanted to know if I run the Aeromotive 13106 LT1 afpr which can be run boost referenced is an fmu still needed?

I have HPT pro will this give me adequate control over fueling at or above 15# of boost? Thanks for any help or advise.

If you have HPT then you don't need a FMU...

to go above 15 psi of boost will need a 3 bar MAP sensor and fake a 3 bar tune with HPT...

You can't do it, there won't be enough cells at lower RPM's to effectively run your car.

Yea shifted already explained that one to me but can I use a 2.5 bar map and be able to tune for 18# -20# of boost with HPT?

go standalone if you want more than 15lbs of boost. Megasquirt works well and will be cheaper than HPT if you can make your own harness.

Actually I'm waiting on the new top secret stuff shifted has coming out later this year, then I'm going to switch to his setup. Can I fake a 2.5 bar map and have it work with HPT?
