2200 mods before boost

OK i read the boost faq.
My question is what mods do i have to make on my 2200 before boost

different sources all say i should:
1. mill head and add forged pistons
2. change my injectors to bigger ones
3.change my fuel pump
4.change intake manifold.

so is this right.
whats the best route before boost so that i keep my 2200 safe?

Not, quite. Here are some suggestions.

1. Do not mill your head, you actually need to lower your compression by ADDING volume to the combustion chamber. A thicker head gasket or Forged pistons designed for 9:1 compression would be a good choice.

2. You will need more fuel, larger injectors are inevitable at some point (depending on HP). But to start out, depending on your HP goals, you may want to look at an adjustable FMU which will add more fuel pressure for every P.S.I. of boost being added. Or bite the bullit and buy the injectors, but you will need someone with HPT (horse power tuners) to change your injector constant and tune your vehicle for you.

3. Don't worry about your fuel pump until you run out of fuel delivery for your set-up. Spend your money elseware at the beginning, wideband 02 is a good choice.

4. If you have the money go ahead and change your intake, although it is not necessary. Instead you may want to buy HPT or Megasquirt or EFIlive or........and tune your vehicle yourself.

Best route is doing as much research as humanly possible before going into boost. You can boost a stock 2200, minus the obvious exhaust and fuel mods.

Youd need something to control fuel, bigger injectors, and either an FMU or HPT to control the pressure.

Youd need a wideband to tune it.

You can run boost on a stock internal'd 2200, just not above (i think) 250ish whp.

Port the intake manifold, dont waste money on the aftermarket one, this is what everyone has said that Ive read from.

Any other mods are not completely nessecary. a motor build will make the boosted motor more reliable, and able to go faster and be pushed harder, but its not absolutely nessecary.
