I was wondering if anyone could send me some pics of there intercooler piping while they installed it
or if anyone have any details that will help me out like where i will have to cut and what i will have to remove
for the easyest way to rout the piping there isnt very many pics where i have searched also anyone have pics of there return lines
for the oil return on the dipstick thanks
jazzer where did you get your piping at? and that intercooler looks really small.
Yea its all i will need for now (only planning on running 9 psi until motor is built). i forget the dimensions but i went for one that was a little deeper rather than wider or longer. its a pretty decent size for what i need.
And i got one of the aluminum intercooler piping sets off of ebay. It was a pretty good deal, got alot of piping and i still have a bunch left over. I want to see how the couplers hold up under boost, im slightly weary of whether or not they'll hold and that will determine whether or not i decide to weld most of it if i can, or buy steel piping to weld.
looks nice.... what size turbo you running? got a dyno done yet?
Thank you. Its actually N/A right now, i got a jump on the install so the final install would go a lil quicker. All im waiting on is DP and exhaust (odered a welder this week and the piping next week) so its almost done. But I have a T3/T04B, (70a/r compressor 45a/r turbine) thats waiting to be put in. I cant wait... we were set back quite a bit becuase we had to replace the clutch in our SS.
Wow it's finally gonna happen! Cant wait to see some vids of it. I wanna do mine as well but i'm just not sure if I want to tackle that task.

Yea, im very exited. The depressing part is that its been ready to install for 3 months now, just haven't had the spare money to buy the welder and DP/exhaust piping... sucks when its that little holding you back lol. but i don't want to rush it, certainly a task worth taking your time on. And if your not ready than i would suggest taking your time and research as much as you can. At first I didn't realize how much is actually needed when you narrow it down, (fortunately my bf did so he knew where to start). Especially with the tuning aspect :-p
there are more on our website. click the siggy. This is chris (agentomega's) car.

You can't convince me that a piece of steel tubing sandwiched between 2 pieces of radiator hose counts as an intercooler!

Oh, just wait for its return
Anyone remember Tony Gibson's top-mount? I got a hold of one of those Saab intercoolers, so I'm going to be doing some '96 hood choppin' before the '03 front end goes on.

That's what I'm running in my Sunbird. Plastic tank model is supposedly close to sudden death around 17 psi. Pics of that one and I/C piping are in the 1st gen forum, "Speed Mods" thread.
RDFabs, pic looks good.
