wastegate maintenance?

this may be a dumb question but hopefully some one can help me out i have seach with little success so does anyone have any maintence tips for an external waste gate and do they have any kinda special lubricant to keep it freely moving any info would be apprecited

They're pretty simple devices, there shouldn't be any maintenance required. If you start to notice it not functioning correctly then you'll probably want to look at the lines to see everything still checks out.

thanks that help a little the reson i ask is that my bov came with some instructions on maintenance so i figured there may be the same for a waste gate

Just because I'm curious, what did they suggest to do with your BOV? My turbo xs is even simpler than the wastegate lol

my bov maintance said basicly every six monts remove spring measure should be no less than 67 mm replace if below remove and clean bore and piston inspect surface of piston and bore for excessive ware ie silver markings check base and cap o ring for damage lubricte bore and piston with uniglide oil or sewing machine oil do not grease with viscous oil and thats bout the jist of it so thats why i wondered if there was anything like this for a wastegate
