compression : 180 145 150 180 and 2 plugs melted

ok, I had the NGK LTR7ix on an Ecotec
compression : 180 145 150 180 and 2 plugs melted

put back my old plugs, car is now running ok, but the compression is still the same...

1- what could the problem be?
2- and how long can the engine survive if I run without boosting?
3- can I remove a piece of my intercooler piping and put a 2nd air filter or will it damage my turbo to run without restriction?

thanks

You completely melted 2 plugs? You must have JUST escaped detonation... if your plugs are in that kind of condition I can only imagine your rings in those two cylinders....

Yeah... uh... I wouldn't drive it too much. As TRD said, you have 2 bad cylinders...
