2.4 s/c pulley
Saturday, April 28, 2007 7:07 PM
I have a 2000 Olds Alero with the charger. I have been away at college for more than a year since putting the charger on my car. What is the stock pulley size and also what is the smaller pulley size that I believe gives you 8-10 psi?

stock pulley size is 2.8"

2.6" should get you 8-10psi, though this varies by owner and the tune that they are using

yeah stock pulley is 2.8" and if you want more boost go with the 2.6" with meth injection. You can't really tell people how much boost each pulley gets cause it varies.

But after the 2.6 pulley the charger is so spining so fast that there is not point going smaller right?

wrong, you can put on the 2.5 pulley which im doing very soon and port the charger out and you can gain more power, the 2.6 is pushing the limits but who cares, pays to play. i've been running the 2.6" for over 2 years perfectly.

I see about 6psi up to 6k, then it climbs to 8-9 around 7k and I have the 2.6"

Now I am very curious because I installed my boost gauge after my air ride system had some issues so, when I get home a take her for a spin I will have to see what stock does for me and see which size pullies I bought from pulley boys almost a year and a half ago.

I have the pulley boys interchangeable hub setup and before I went away to college I tried to have this put on but, to no avail. The shops pulley puller wouldnt fit between the pulley and the snout. What kind of puller do I need and is there a difference in pullies depending on the brand?
