Are all ford green top injectors the same? I noticed that there are different part numbers for them. I also noticed that some have a body that is black with a green top, and others have a body that is silver with a green top. Can anyone confirm this? And if there are different ones, will they all work with a Cav? What I'm getting at is I can get some ford green tops from a supercharged Ford Focus SVT for pretty cheap, and I need to know if those will work with my car.

Yep! go with the ones from the lightning and you're golden.
As for that other guy, dude stop being an asshat
Yeah...The ford green tops will fit
lol...
The Black Body Ford EV1 style Ford Green tops are 42 lb/hr for sure. I'm pretty sure the silver ones are just off brand Ford Green tops (also 42 lb/hr). Just make sure they aren't cobalt SS injectors.

aren't the ford greentops High Impedence, meaning you can't use it with pre2000 low impedence?

I've got a '99. I believe most '99's are still high impedence....IIRC

If not all of them
If your stock injectors were skinny, or if you can't remember that far back and are using the 30 lb injectors from GM for the SC without any problems then they are indeed high impedance.

my injectors that came in the kit are skinny. The green tops are fat. how does that work? I'm still lost on this....

An injector isn't High or Low Impedence based on whethere or not it is skinny or fat. The 99+ 2.4L Injectors just happen to be skinny and are high impedence, whereas the 95-98 quad4/TC have fat injectors and just happen to be Low impedence.
It's just the easiest way to tell the stock injectors apart.
My Ford Red tops are fat and are High Impedence.

I know that. I'm sorry, I should have worded it better lol....
The injectors that I have are skinny and high imp. The Green Tops are fat and high imp. Are they the same length? Will the thickness of the Green Tops cause any problems in my 01 motor? Thanks

IIRC, they are a little bit shorter, but they work just fine on the 99+ 2.4L rail. If you wanted to, you could always drill a little bit higher on the rail where it bolts to the cam tower so that the injectors would seat better. It isn't necessary though.

My Green tops fit perfect into my 2K z24.
O noes!
Back from the dead kinda....
So I got some used Green Tops with 600 miles on them for $90 w/clips. I rock lol....
Do I just match up the wires w/the black lines to the stock ones? And cut solder and heat shrink?
Thanks

Nevermind.
I know someone looked at this and knew the answer, but didn't respond. That's cool, I just like to double-check what I've heard from people to make sure it's accurate. But it runs, perfect. It didn't want to start for the first 20 mins tho, I let it sit and came back out and it started, but sounded like it was cammed BIG lol....so I messed with the inj constant and it idles perfect. Constant 11.2-11.8 afr's across the whole rpm band up to 7k, injector duty cycle around 70%. I'm happy.

Sorry no one helped you out on this. Black/Black or Black/White as long as they are all wired the same...
What did you end up with for an injector constant?
I'm running Volvo "Green Giant" 440s , my injector constant is fine at .11574...

It's at .22799 and it's running where I want it. Good AFR's and everything, it's wierd. I figured it would be the same as yours, but it ran way too lean on that setting.
