What is the most boost a stock ecotec can handle with a good tune? I was just curious and didn't find anything about it. I was planning on running about 6-8 pounds with a good tune,
Boost pressure isn't relavent by itself. You need to give more details. What type of forced induction are even planning on using? It's not necessarily about how much pressure you're creating but the CFM of airflow per PSI.
Basically, you need to give more details.
isn't the real question how much power can a stock eco handle ?
if so I'd say about 280 hp to the wheels, some people haven gotten higher but others have blown their engines with this amount of power.... to stay safe I plan to reach max 260 to the wheels.

That's important as well. I was just pointing out it's not necessarily about boost pressure.
Ryne Hoover ran approx 13-16 psi on his stock ecotec for tens of passes. It did eventually give up, but he had to have gotten all of 100 passes, not to mention it was daily driven.
I'm not sure his HP numbers though...
