Did anyone buy the turbo ebay manifold only to have it arrive with runners off center in the ports, restricted air flow, and crappy welds.
I can deal with crappy welds, but runners off track make the unit unusable to me.
Just wondering if some porting&polishing would fix the problem here or if i should just get my cash back and build my own.
Also it has 1 inch runners from each cylinder, now on the 2.2L ohv im not sure this is enough airflow.
Same seller, but for the 2.2L ohv motor. The piping is offset literally buy a 1/8th inch from the flange. It's restrictive.. I think i can die grind it out, but the other issue is 1 inch round diameter ports, does the 2.2 need more breathing room?
The welds are solid, just dirty, and im not sure but i think i will need to actually add some welds to round out, smooth out, and port & polish it.
Let me take some pictures and post them for everyone to look at. If there is a way to salvage the manifold i would prefer it, as i know he does good work but im shocked to find that the ports are so far off. I cant weld worth a squat and could have got them more on target.
So with yours do you notice any issues with #1 cylinder and the pressures that build up? Also, because the openings are only 1 inch, did you have to p&p, and bore it out. And because of the offset do you notice any issues with flow, because what im seeing is that the edges and flow are severly messed up.
The one I got had a few rough areas, what we ended up doing was just simply clean the badboy up so it was up to snuff.
