i was wondering what the impedence is on a set of h.o. injectors from a 2.3l grand am, im done with putting my turbo kit together other than this and was wondering if these would do good with my aeromotive fpr, fuel rail?? im planning on throwing my turbo on in a week and getting it tuned the next day!! thanks for any help!
hondas are like tampons.....every pu$$y needs one...
mildly built 99' ln2, eagle h-beam rods, wiseco forged alum. pistons, cusco oil catch, t3/t4 super 60 garret, tial 40 mm wastegate, hp tuners, prothane mount inserts, 2.5" exhaust.
do it right and go with some injectors from RC Engineering. use their sizing chart on their website, just get them a little big that way you will have the extra fuel there when you finaly do boooooooooooost haha. no but really, just remember that its usualy better to go a little big on the injectors just in case you up your boost later. key fact is, you can almost always make bigger injectors work in any application but you CANT make a smaller injector do what it cant and deliver mad fuel. once an injector hits its peak, thats it.
thanks man i appreciate your help i was just worried since i already have them and i payed a fortune for them that i was gonna need a different set, i know they are more reliable than my 2.2l injectors are so im not too worried guess ill find out soon!!!

The 2.3 and 96-mid 99 2.4 are low impedence. Ho's are 32lbs. They ARE NOT GOOD with an FMU. Don't even think about it. Use a set of injectors bigger than 32lbs for boost.

2.3 Ho
so should i go with dome dsm injectors then since thats what my friend has and the work fine???

the 2.3 ford turbo motors come with brown top injectors(not all of them, but any 86-89 motor will have them, as well as the 85 xr4ti). these are 35lb injectors at 39 psi base (vacuum disconnected). You can find the injectors in these cars:
86-88 Ford Thunderbird turbo coupe
85-89 Merkur Xr4ti
86 and I believe 85 Mustang SVO's
There is also a way to take the Ford CFI injectors and convert them to work like a typical bosch injector. The CFI's (blue tops) are 42# or 46# injectors (depends on who you ask and which flow charts you see) and they are rated at 30 psi base. The grey CFI's are 52# injectors at 30 psi base. And these are also low impedence. The turboford guys have been doing this for a long time and it's an excellent, cheap source for larger injectors, though they can be a difficult to find.
You can find the CFI's on most 84-87 Ford 5.0 motors such as the mustang, town car, lincoln mark VIII and a couple more that I can't think of right now
