LSJ 2.0L Header Dyno'd on 2.2L ECO Supercharger *pics*

I dynoed 4 months ago with the supercharger, aem cai,2.2 coated pacesetter header, custom 2.5"downpipe, and full 2.5" mandrel exhaust. Today I dynoed it with the only change being the Pacesetter coated 2.0L header. Same custom DP. Installation was a direct swap and crazy enough after putting some miles on the car I noticed it revved faster and it just plain felt faster.

Old and new runs are on the same sheet and I posted both uncorrected and SAE corrected.

Uncorrected

SAE Corrected

Impressive difference considering the mild tweak in diameter size. Soon to switch over myself and I'm gonna go red just for you sweet pea!!!

Not bad good to know that someone took the time to dyno before and after results. Seems like a nice little gain uncorrected.....and a verry little gain SAE corrected.......What is the difference between corrected and non corrected?..........

Good Job

looks good Chad.

a couple more washers, and I bet you would have picked up at least 2 more horsepower.

Nice. The LSJ Header seems to work out well with the charger kit.

What are the differences in these headers, any pics?

The runners are 1 3/4" on the 2.0L instead of the 1 1/2" on the 2.2L and the opening on the collector is bigger.

SAE Correction is supposed to put all dynojets on a level playing field. So if you dyno in high heat and elevation and dyno somewhere else low elev and low heat the correction factor should equal them out. The dyno jets have a weather center that checks current conditions and when you use the SAE correction it adjusts it for 60°, 0% humidity, and sea level.

Looks good. The curves seem to be really choppy? I see the Air/Fuel is nice and smooth. Is there timing being pulled?

aside from that, nice to know that the a/f is a nice 12.0 across the power band even with your breather mods

That's something I can't figure out. My WBO2 pegs at 10.0 at WOT and the dyno says 11.8-12.1, but we both are at 14.7 at idle.

where did they place the dyno WB??

Dyno WB was in the tailpipe after the cat and mine is in the DP before the cat. At max there should be a 1/2 point difference but not 2. One of our local Cobalt SS guys has the same WBO2 I have, same dyno, and he was only 1/2 point off.

im certain that its due to where the dyno took its sample even with its correction capabilities. The cat can make incredible differences in readings all depending on what condition that cat is in. No vehicles readings will be the same from one to the other because of driving conditions and age of cat. No correction can account for that. I would still as said before trust the O2 pre cat readings. Perhaps get the widebands O2 sensor checked again for accuracy and response times. Could be that its failing but when I drove your car last it seemed to respond perfectly to even the slightest in change.

you're not intercooled right ? I'm guessing that we're looking at another 10 whp with the intercooled setup...

I have about 80% of the parts needed to hook up the HE and 3.0" pulley and I can't wait.

The only reason I dynoed so soon was because literally the only thing different with the car was the header. Phlatcav was supposed to step up and dyno his before and after, but didn't. I get decent rates from a shop a block away so I ran down there and had it done.

If all goes well and there's some interest Gravana will step up and make a custom downpipe to sell for use with the LSJ header for the L61.

Fawking sw33t!!! Nice to see the resluts being proven on the dyno, and what good reults to see btw.

Looks like my thinking about doing this instead of the cavi header is now a set in stone truth.

Oh and I would buy one of those Gravana Downpipes in a heartbeat!! Id buy it the day it was released!! Fo SHO!! Consider me an interested party, pass it on to Jim. LOL
