Hey guys and gals, I bought the stage one ecotec camshafts from Howell automotive about 2 years ago intalled them and have been happy with them ever since.
I have bought and sold a few different turbos trying to make a few bucks, and recently got ahold of an older Garrett T3 60.ar comp, 48.ar turbine, 1.9 inch inducer wheel snail
off of an older T bird Turbo coupe. Some guys around my block tell me it is the original "super 60". The turbo was rebuilt here in St. Louis and right now has very very little shaft play (about half a fingernails thickness). My question is, do you guys think it would be ok to run a low amount of boost with the cams I have in the motor? Are the NA cams gonna fight the boost being pushed in the motor or add to it. The motor builds power til redline unlike it use to where it would plain off at about 5000 RPM before the cam install. Any help? My wife will be pissed if I pop the motor with an "I told ya so!" .
Thanks, Travis
It'll be fine.
