Some Parts

Basicly for the past year I have been slowly gaining my want for a turbo. Now I am going to do it, basicly I wanna get 200 WHP for starts. Its my goal weither im gay for it being low lol sorry. Anyways, I decided I wanna peice together a turbo kit. I have a Manifold with the wastegate flange. Now I am looking for a low milage used turbo or a new turbo that will get me were I want. Ive heard about turbos that don't need oil lines on them, if so I am curious to there reliability. If not I am looking for these few things to start. I guess i need to mention I have a 2001 2.2 SIngle Cam Cavi.

T3 Turbo I think you guys are extremely knowledgable and can direct me to the size I need.
I also need anything exiting the turbo. I am still a little confused ont he flange situation so if someone can get me mabye an image of the flange and downpipe connected.
So that gets the list to

Turbo
Flange
Downpipe

I have a 2.5 Exaust full exaust. I currently have pacetter headers down to a high flow cat.

Ok now I need Oil lines I guess, I looked for mabye a kit that I could order that would set me up with the entire Oil distribution part of the turbo, If one doesnt excist then ill go another route.

kk, I have the injectors, entire charge piping and intercooler setup, clutch, and all that covered. Along with the gauges. So basicly I need at the end of the day is this. Oh I also got the BOV and WG covered.

Turbo
Flange
Downpipe
Oil setup

And if you guys know anything else that missed the make the turbo mechanicaly work spin and push air.

Ive been reading this forum for at least half a year so that i could get a good grasp on turboing my J-body.

For your turbo you need to look at somewhere between a 50 and 60 trim turbo, I would buy one that externally oiled..

A T3/T4 with .57 trim Its a cheaper brand turbo but if it doesnt workout ill sell it to a local and buy a nicer one. Paid 250 shipped for it. I bought an inter cooler/charging pipes also Im down to the Down Pipe, Flange, Oil lines, and i should have everything. I need to have a shop put in my Clutch Masters Clutch. My engine has 120k on it, what should i replace to make it less likely to break down. I figure its mainly gaskets. The engine is well taken care of and hase never had any majore problems. Ill be happy with 200hp.

Ok here is an update. I have the following.

T3/T4 Turbo with .57 trim
Manafold
Flange (ill make the downpipe during the install)
Wastegate(ordering this weekend)
BOV
Charging pipes/intercooler
Oil Feed/Return Kit
All the Gauges Ill buy when it gets close to time
Boost Controller
Plugs
Vacume Hoses

Im pretty sure thats everything or at least I hope. Anyways, i noticed the waste gate has an.. exit point? does this mean i need to do Manifold to wastegate to downpipe? Does it basicly Bypass the turbo? This will be my first install but i figure my only way to learn is to just do it. If something goes wrong Ill have someone come fix it.

I got injectors sorry. Anyways, I was looking into HPtuners or whatever that is and i think i got my eggs before the chicken because i need to get it tuned for spring. I am deffinently looking and willign to take advice on how I should go about tuning. My origonaly plan was to hit the dyno soon as I can and peg it to about 200 hp. Then get a professional to tune it for me because thats some serious stuff.

Ebay, Im hoping they actualy fit, if not Ima cut them and use all the cuplers and @!#$ that they sent. Came with a BOV, FMIC, Boost Controller, Piping, Connectors, Clamps. It was like 500 bucks lol so its deffinently not the costly way to go.

this is all i bought from Ebay btw, I figured it wouldnt be to big of an effect if i went gay with the stuff i got. I deffinently didnt buy there turbo lol.

Ok i completely understand were the FMU goes, now I feel dumb but so far this seems to be the most complicated system of the turbo to me. Anyways, I need to find a lower priced manual controlled FMU. It needs to come with some instructions thats for damn sure. Anyways if someone could help me out with this because I have been looking all over for one and I just don't know.

So how well do you think an engine with 120 thousand miles on it can take 200 HP? After i get the turbo done I am going to pick up one with under 40k miles and do a full build on it. 200 hp is deffinently enough to beat half the guys around here with only bolt on's and then spend 3 grand on the outside. Ill admit when i got the car I immediatly put on a kit and rims. Ive spent a good 6 grand between the kit, rims, and different systems. I give props to all you guys that are building sleepers .
